What is X39?
LifeWave describes X39 as a patent-protected phototherapy technology designed to support the body’s own GHK-Cu response. It is worn as a small patch. That is LifeWave’s description of the product, quoted here as the manufacturer’s own wording rather than my claim.
Why I looked at this
When I first heard about LifeWave, like many people, I was sceptical. How could such a small patch possibly make a difference to how I felt? It wasn’t until I saw more and more friends sharing their experiences that I decided to try it for myself.
Over the years, I’ve invested a lot in supporting my wellbeing, exploring everything from juice retreats and herbs to different holistic approaches. Because of my family health history, looking after my general health and wellbeing has always been important to me.
Now in my 60s, I feel more balanced than I have in years, and people often remark on how young my skin and face look. LifeWave has become a valued part of my daily wellness routine, and my husband uses the patches too.
What I particularly love is how simple they are to use — no complicated routine or appointments, just “stick and go”.
Our own experience is why we enjoy sharing LifeWave with others.

How LifeWave describes the technology
LifeWave describes the patch as working by phototherapy — designed to reflect specific wavelengths of light back into the body. It is designed as a non-transdermal patch, meaning it is not intended to deliver a drug, supplement or active ingredient through the skin.

What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper peptide — a small compound the body produces on its own. Levels of GHK-Cu are reported in scientific literature to decline with age. That is a statement about the compound itself, drawn from published research, and nothing more.
What has the research found?
LifeWave has published human studies examining what happens to GHK-Cu levels when people wear X39.
In a randomised, double-blind controlled study involving 60 adults, the active X39 group showed a statistically significant increase in measured blood GHK-Cu over one week compared with controls. The researchers concluded that the results supported increased GHK-Cu production and reinforced findings from earlier studies.
These findings provide an encouraging scientific basis for taking the technology seriously and exploring it further, without suggesting that research can predict exactly what any one person will experience.
The technology is also covered by US Patent No. 10,716,953 B1. The patent explains and protects the invention, while the human studies provide the more relevant evidence about what happened when people wore the patch.
